 Holiday Foot Soak

holiday foot soak

2 Cups Epsom Salt
3 Tablespoons of Baking Soda
3 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Tablespoons Rosemary Leaves, chopped
A few drops of Tea Tree Oil in the water
Fresh Flowers
Grab a basin big enough for your feet to rest comfortably in.  Add baking soda, epsom salt, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary leaves to the basin.
Pour hot water into the basin.
Add a few drops of tea tree oil and sprinkle fresh flowers into the basin.
Soak feet for 30 minutes while breathing deeply so that you can enjoy the aromatic healing properties of this soak.
Magnesium and sulfate are found in epsom salts, both of these elements are absorbed through the skin and into the body's blood stream. Magnesium plays a critical role in over 325 enzymes in the body. Magnesium helps to improve muscle and nerve function, reduce inflammation and improves blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body. Sulfates found in epsom salts are necessary building blocks for healthy joints, skin and nervous tissue.
The baking soda will neutralize the chemicals already occurring in the tap water; primarily chlorine, as well as increase mineral absorption.
Tea tree is naturally antiseptic and will help get rid of unwanted foot smells.
Cinnamon has been used as medicine in traditional healing systems for ages. The addition of cinnamon may help reduce the risk of developing cancer and it will help alleviate muscle soreness. Cinnamon may also regulate blood sugar levels.
Rosemary is a good source of iron, calcium, and vitamin B6. Rosemary helps alleviate muscle pain, improve memory, boost the immune and circulatory system, and promote hair growth.
This foot soak will have you ready to dance the night away at your next holiday party!

1 Cup Pureed Pumpkin
2 Tablespoons of Honey
In a blender, puree pumpkin and honey until you have one full cup.
Work the freshly pureed pumpkin and honey mixture into hair beginning at the ends. Once the hair is fully covered in the mixture, wrap it up into a plastic bonnet.
Let the hair mask work for approximately twenty before rinsing it out.
Pumpkin contains high amounts of vitamin A, alpha and beta-carotenes, vitamins C, K, and E, and minerals, including magnesium, potassium, and iron. Vitamin A  and potassium are extremely good for the scalp and can stimulate new hair growth and slow hair loss. Pumpkin is a very moisturizing vegetable and will help keep the hair looking conditioned.  Honey is beneficial for the hair because honey is a natural humectant, which means that it attracts moisture. Honey is also full of antioxidants and nutrients to feed hair follicles and stimulate new hair growth.
